You will require an initial examination and assessment with your chosen dentist. Your treatment needs will be discussed and you will be categorised to assign your monthly fee. You will need to be dentally fit before joining the dental plan
Our maintenance plan provides the benefit of on going preventative care and offers you a discount towards your private fees.
Treatment covered:
- Agreed Number of Routine Examinations & Advice
- Agreed Number of Hygienist Appointments (if required)
- Radiographs (x-rays)
- Treatment Planning & Advice
- Emergency Call-out (you are responsible for the first £15.00 of the call-out fee – see Supplementary Dental Injury and Emergency Insurance Policy)
- Insurance Benefits—see Dental Plan Terms of Agreement
- 15% Discount on all Private Fees. Except laboratory bills & additional hygienist appointment
The contract entitles you to receive an agreed number of routine examinations, hygienist appointments, (if required) radiographs, treatment planning and emergency call-out. The contract entities you to a discount of 15% of the private fees; excluding laboratory bills, additional hygienist appointments treatments which are purely cosmetic, smile design and tooth whitening procedures.
Treatment that is discount deductable
- Restoration (fillings)
- Root Canal Treatment
- Extractions
- Provision of Crowns, Bridges and Dentures
- Advanced Periodontal Treatment
The contract does not entitle you to:
- Implant Treatment—including implant crown and bridgework
- Purely Cosmetic Dentistry, Smile Design and Tooth Whitening
- Occlusal (bite) Equilibration/Therapy/Appliance
- Anti Snoring Appliances
- Orthodontic Treatment
- Intra-Venous—Sedation (subject to availability)
- Prescription/Medicine/Drug charges
- Laboratory Fees
- Referral to a Specialist Dentist and Specialist Treatment
- Treatment following dental injury (this may be subject to the insurance scheme element)
- The treatment (if any) which you and your dentist agreed to be excluded at the start of the contract.
- Any treatment which is not deemed clinically necessary/suitable in your Dentist’s opinion
- Treatment carried out anywhere other than at your dental practice and/or by your registered Dentist (except in the case of emergency treatment)
