Cfast guest blog
20/05/2013 by Dental DesignI am currently 5 weeks into my Cfast cosmetic braces course and I can tell you it is going very quickly!
I’ve just had my monthly appointment with Richie, who fitted a new wire to start the 2nd stage of movement – this only took about 30 mins and I was out the door. Similarly to when the braces were first attached to my teeth, they do feel a little tender for 24 hours after.
I’m really happy with the progress, especially my bottom teeth which are really starting to look straight.
Here are some things I’ve learnt over the past 5 weeks wearing the Cfast system;
- Don’t eat hard or sticky foods like toffee or crusts which could damage your braces.
- Carry a toothbrush! Or have one at work – food tends to get lodged in the braces so I would recommend cleaning after every meal.
- Flossing is important but a bit of nightmare to do because of the brace, so invest in some interdental brushes which do the same job.
- Bongela and painkillers are a must for a few days when your braces are first put on and don’t forget to use the dental wax provided if any parts of the brace are irritating.
