DENTISTRY@68 – PATIENT INFORMATION – COVID-19 UPDATE

We very much hope that you, your family and friends are keeping well.
We are pleased to inform you that following the Government lockdown announcement on 4th January 2021; your dental practice will safely remain open and continue to offer our full range of services.
In line with the last period of national restrictions, and despite some incorrect reports in the media, the Chief Dental Officer and the British Dental Association have stated that dental services are to remain open and see patients.
The public are lawfully permitted to leave home and travel to visit their dentist for urgent and all routine dental care.
We wish to reassure you that we will continue to ensure your visit with us is Covid-19 secure.
We wish to remind you that all patients are screened before attending appointments. No patient enters the premises if they have symptoms of any description, Covid-19 or otherwise. Temperature checks, hand sanitising and face masks are mandatory for patients on entry. We have created socially distanced patient waiting rooms and we manage the patient flow throughout the practice.
In addition to our stringent pre-Covid-19 surgery cross infection controls, we have the additional measures of high-volume surgery air extraction and the effective use of Hypochlorous acid (HOCL) – which is proven to kill coronavirus.
Every staff member is screened on arrival at work and all staff will continue to wear enhanced PPE. In addition, each staff member completes a PCR lateral flow antigen Covid-19 test to ensure they are virus free. This is performed twice a week and will continue for a minimum of 3-months.
To date we can report no workplace acquired Covid-19 infections for any patient or staff member.
We are confident in our ability to provide you with high standards of dentistry and facial aesthetic treatments with no limitations to our services or appointments in a safe and hygienic environment as we have always done.
Please be assured that appointments booked with us will remain in place and do not need to be rebooked or cancelled. However, if you wish to reschedule, our reception team will be happy to assist you.
We also will be accepting new patients if any of your family and friends are having difficulty in accessing dental care.
