Cfast and the Inman Aligner
15/05/2013 by Dental DesignDid you know that Dentistry@68 offer the latest orthodontic techniques to straighten teeth?
The first of the techniques is Cfast; a simple, gentle, minimally invasive cosmetic treatment that corrects alignment issues with the top and bottom front six teeth, satisfying the needs of the vast majority of adult patients that seek orthodontic treatment.
Cfast uses clear brackets and tooth-coloured nickel-titanium wires. The treatment works much like clear aligners, but tooth movement is much more predictable and in most cases more than twice as quick, a fraction compared to traditional braces.
Cfast takes less time than conventional orthodontics because it focuses only on the “social six”, the front teeth that most influence the smile.
If you would like invisible fixed braces which work quickly to straighten your teeth, Cfast could be the orthodontic option for you.
Another orthodontic technique offered at the practice is the Inman aligner; a removable brace which is used to align front teeth to rectify crowding, protrusion, rotations and cross bites. This method is quick and safe as it uses very gentle forces. The Inman aligner is a tried and tested, safe method of straightening teeth, with over 30,000 successful cases completed worldwide so far.
Most Inman aligner cases are completed very swiftly within 6-18 weeks, the dentist will be able to be more specific on treatment times after your initial consultation. Conveniently, there is only one appliance needed to achieve great results.
Once you have chosen to undertake Inman aligner treatment, impressions will be taken and sent to the dental lab to create your custom made aligner. Once received, your aligner will be fitted; the aligner will need to be worn at least 16-20 hours per day to reach the desired effect. The Inman aligner is removable and is easily taken out and inserted for eating, photos and special occasions etc.
The aligner will need to be checked every 2- 3 weeks by the dentist and once treatment is complete, retention is recommended in the form of a lingually bonded retainer or an essix retainer to ensure great results for life.
If you would like more information on Cfast or the Inman aligner, please book an appointment with one of our friendly reception team for a consultation.
